Dancemakers Year End Production
Dancemakers Annual Recital – At the end of each year Dancemakers produces a HUGE Musical Theater style extravaganza that has become a community favorite. This program features both our Dance and Musical Theater Programs. Our goal is to create a professional caliber production that is wildly entertaining for our audiences to watch and just as much fun for the performers to be a part of. This event features every dancer at the studio who wishes to participate. Each October we release the Recital Handbook and give each student a Recital Participation Consent Form. A signed consent form must be returned to the office no later than November 1st in order for a student to participate in the recital. This fabulous event is the perfect way for a child to wind up a great year with an even greater event that will “re-play” in the memories for a lifetime!
Dancemakers Hip Hop - Dance Crew
The newest addition to the performing possibilities is DM-DC, Dancemakers Dance Crew. Any dancer (from 7 to 20) who exhibits exceptional performing abilities is given the opportunity to attend an audition class which is generally held each spring. Students are not required to be enrolled in the Conservatory Program to be in this group. Our hip hop group will perform for local Community Based Events throughout the year. This is a great opportunity for dancers who do not wish to commit all of their time to their dance training to still have the opportunity to “strut their stuff”.
Dancemakers Performing Arts Company
This Company is for those students who desire to take their arts training to the highest possible level. Whether choosing to be an advanced competitive level dancer or one who aspires to pursue a professional career this program will give them the technical and artistic training that they will need to achieve all of their artistic goals. You must audition to be a part of this Company. Performances include local charity events and two major concerts during the season. Our Christmas concert for 2008 will be “The Gift”, and original production created by director Cindy Turrentine and our 2009 “Something for Everyone” 20th Anniversary Gala.
